I bought these when my children kept taking my others. These are far better than ear buds, which have, for me at least, been a losing bet. They break too easily and if you want good sound, you have to pay a lot of money for them. The JVS Flats are about 20 dollars, and the sound is every bit as good. Even better is the comfort. I work in a high noise environment. While these headphones don't cancel out all the clanging of industrial mixers and beeping timers, they muffle them enough so that I can enjoy the music while noting the timers when they go off. Because they aren't buds, they don't keep falling out of my ears as I move around. These are snug-fitting headphones, which mean that I don't have to keep readjusting them when I move around.
For 20 bucks or less, you get a lot of quality.
When I was using Stennheiser buds, I spent A LOT of money. The sound was excellent, but they kept breaking, no matter how careful I was with them.
That is why I would buy several pairs of the JVC Flats again....and hide some of them in case my kids start eying my headphones.

All-around, very good quality. Good sound (not the very best, but pretty amazing for the price), comfortable (the padding is great), and I like that the jack is straight and not L-shaped (more convenient and not as easy to break). I've never bothered folding them, really; it doesn't save that much space, but it's a nice feature nevertheless.

I got mine from WalMart, and they worked great for over a year, until an unfortunate mishap with the vacuum cleaner *cough*. I like them so much that I'm buying the same ones again, though!

I bought these for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. This is after trying four other sets that we found had poor sound or broke within a week. I highly recommend these... they are slim and easy to carry as the ear pieces flip in to make them flat. A great price too!
